I guess im not the only one who likes to see the IMPG go down to 2 when you punch it, lol Ive only used it on level 2 and I love it. Truck should come from ford like that. I love the downshift when you hit it from a roll

I automaticly put it on level 3 and promptly smoked the tires in the front of the house. I noticed a big difference right off the bat. When I was getting on interstate i floored it off the onramp..... i was stunned. traffic coming down interstate never got in front of me and i was doing a buck o five before i started to run outta room!! at cruising speed it uses less RPM. I can cruise 80mph and turn 1600-1700 rpm whereas before the program it would turn 2grand. I love it.

I assumed your RPMs were governed by tire size and gear ratio how does a chip change this?

Sounds like you started using overdrive (~80% RPM of 3rd gear or something close).

the sticker in the door states that the truck came from the factory with 235/65/16, It now has 265/70/17's. I'm sure that had something to do with it.

If the tires & apparently rims have changed that makes some sense. I just dont see how a chip can change cruising RPMs

But whatever....glad you like your tune

Unless you changed tires or gearing, you should be running the same rpm vs speed (in the same gear) as before. You might want to check the settings, you may need to change the tire size or the gear ratio or both.

Anyways, glad you like it.

I found it for $312 at truckracingparts.com, theyve got a coupon page you gotta go to......but it expires soon.
I just figured it took less RPM because it was making a little more power...i dunno, seems weird that it would change like that after i put the programmer on.

When did you get it? List is $440 and the coupon is 17% off. That's about $365.00 unless coupons can be combined with the 12% coupon for 29% off which does work out to $312.00.

Is that what you did?

Thanks
