Is that what you did?

Thanks
Unless, he hasn't updated his profile, he has a 2003 model.......which is a different programmer (no monitor). It might be less than the one for the 2004-06 model. Just a thought, maybe fordmuscle385 can confirm this.

If you want the Edge and are not in a hurry, I would wait a while. The current model for the older trucks does not have the monitor and some of it's capabilities. Last Thursday during truck talk, Bill hinted that there have been so many requests for this for the pre 2004 trucks, that they were looking into a unit just like the Evolution with monitor for them.

True Story

Just installed the Edge EVO on my '06 KR Screw last night. Didn't do any updates and programmed to level 2. Changed the tire size and the octane level and took a spin. The Edge speedo and my dash speedo are practically dead on and I am pleased to report that I could definitely notice better transmission shifting and an increase in power. Yes, gas mileage goes way down because you can't help but pushing the pedal to the floor to experience the acceleration and torque. Haven't tried level 3 yet.

Took a friend for a ride today and gave him a quick demonstration at WOT. He had been looking at purchasing a Lariat F150 but said the power from the 5.4 was less than what he expected. After riding in my truck during this test run, he is now back on the Ford bandwagon and 4 hours later, came by the office in his new F150 Screw Lariat 4x4. He said he would be ordering the Edge EVO tonight. Ford should be giving Edge some commissions

I just figured it took less RPM because it was making a little more power...i dunno, seems weird that it would change like that after i put the programmer on.

You do know that the factory speedo gets its reading from whatever the edge calculates from the entered tire size right? the speedo will always read the same as the edge.

Question for DocHolidaay

I never ask the same question in two different threads but because you actually own one I wanted to ask you. Does the Edge have adjustable kick down so I can raise my first gear kick down point? I know it can adjust shift points but I would really like to know if it can adjust the kick down points. Thanks!

There is no parameter which directly lets you change the kick down points, just the setting for up-shift points which by increasing the value will make the tranny hold that gear longer before shifting up, it does seem to me that the downshifts are sooner as well though by increasing this setting.
