Xcal installed
Well I got my Xcal last week and I finally got around to testing it out. Make a long story short I’m on 95 north heading to Philly to see my mom smash on the gas… intake screams… exhaust roars… and my jaw drops… said to myself “this is good $#it”.
As far as the tune goes I am very pleased with my purchase. I think my tune could use a little tweaking, seems to surge a bit when you hit the throttle from a dead stop (not sure if that’s normal) but I’m sure Mike can work it out. The firm shift takes a little getting use too but I like it better than stock. Ordered underdrive pulleys today I hope to get them installed before the next dyno day so I can get my tune tweaked with all the mods present.
I have a question about the data logging. If you are getting your vehicle tuned on the dyno at the shop, do you still need to do the data logging before hand?
Thanks to Mike and everyone at Troyer for all your help, looking forward to meeting you all at the next dyno day.

Your computer learning the tunes has plenty to do with it. I swear, it never fails, everytime I have to switch tunes, especially from performance to tow and then back, the truck doesnt seem to have the same quick pep in the performance tune as it usually did before I had switched it over. But then, after a few driving cycles, its back to the same old truck...drop of a dime quick. I TRULLY love my F150 SCREW....THANX AGAIN MIKE!!!

Nope. If you attend a dyno day (and everyone here who has done so says they are a blast), you don't need to datalog. TP takes care of that for you.
Congrats on your Xcal2!
Cheers

Thanks MGD!
I'm going to try and sneek a few more mods in before Dyno Day so I don't have to keep updating my tune. I'm putting on the pulley set this weekend and hope to get the 4.10 gears in soon too. I was thinking of doing the efans later because if I rememebr correctly you don't need to change your tune for that...
