Alternative Edge Mounting options

Im just not sold on the edge mounting pod. What do you think of a cellphone/pda holder like this one.

Im thinking of something similar and running the wire through the coin holder.Any thoughts?

Hi.

What about the overhead console? Use a M-F Obd-II extension cable, run it up the D/S A pillar, etc.

Cable: http://www.multiplex-engineering.com/cables.htm. Use cable #3.

If you're handy and want to get REAL creative, check out "TampaBlack99"'s excellent stuff. That guy is just plain amazing! Here's an idea ....

Just a thought.

How about having a stereo shop do a custom in dash install??
Bet that would look great.

Or if you were really brave you could do it yourself.

This is where I mounted mine.

Very easy and the cord is long enough.

I can pull the Edge and the cord out in less than 1 minute.

Very interesting JP... The installation instructions mention the Superduty. 99-05 ford truck would imply superduty but i will check with edge on that...
