Thanks for the info!! I am going to call MT on Tuesday and see what he has to say. I am looking for a little more power to get up the hill's on my land. It is a 4x4 Navi and just needs a little more power to get it's big butt moving!!

I plan on adding the tune, the MMR air intake and a good but silent cat back after the advice. The guy at a local shop just wanted my cash and was talking about putting a supercharger on it!! That was a little to much for a me IMHO......

I will let you know what comes of it.

Thanks again for all of the advice!!

BTW, what is your option on the HP gains from the tune, air intake and cat back?

I got stuck once and it took a tractor to get it out!!! This is what I am trying to avoid........

Thanks..........

No, they start with the basic parameters of your computer, in my case the vxx1, and then they add whatever you tell them you have. If the program is off for some reason, you just call them and they write another one fixing the problems you find with it. Plus, if you add new parts that need major tuning changes, its free to reburn it.

You took a navi offroad in bad enough conditions to get stuck? I'll give it the fact that the Navi can handle ice and snow, but mud isn't really on the checklist of navi trails!

Hello ninemmbill,

Once again, it appears you have your facts wrong.

I've got news for you - many of our customers have come to our dyno days & shop facility for work, we are building our next location right now due to expansion, and we have been in business for a lot longer then virtually every "chipmaker" in the business. A LOT longer. We have been tuning computer-controlled vehicles for the better part of 20 years, and have specialized in the F-150 platform (which the Expy & Navigator platforms are based) for 14+ years - longer than anyone else.

So no, we are NOT "some faceless company" as you have deliberately tried to paint us, and our expertise is well known enough that numerous companies hire us routinely to assist them with the development of their products for these vehicles, including other chipmakers.

Those are the *facts*.

Another fact is that you have no experience with us whatsoever - you do not have any of our tuning, and have no solid background in what actually is available, or who really accomplishes what - yet you come here to make your incorrect pronouncements as if they were fact, when the truth is as we've just seen, you were dead wrong in your last post. We are a *very* well established company that is trust be far more people to custom tune these vehicles than anyone else.

This is just some general FYI, before Internet rumor/BS festers into "fact."

You are welcome to choose whoever you like, that is everyone's right, and we want everyone to be happy - but do NOT attempt to take shots at us or paint us in a false light in the process.

I wish you well,

Geez Mike,

I don't see where he made any factual comments about TP. Looks like he was defending Edge as an established company...not attacking TP. As for his last sentance...that sounds like an opinion....which he has a right to. Mike I am usually with on most things I see you write, but I have to side the other way this time (unless I'm missing something).

You are not missing anything.

Ninemmbill was simply rebutting the childish statement made by Harborbreeze when he implied that Edge was "some faceless company". Ninemmbill was in no way saying that Troyer was "some faceless company".

Mike Troyer habitually makes these types of errors by misreading what is written and jumping on someone's back when they did nothing to deserve it. All you have to do is read some of his replies in this forum to see for yourself.

Even when the error is pointed out he has shown that he isn't capable of apologizing for his mistake. This is exactly why I refuse to do business with the man.

As for Harborbreeze. Ignore him. Like most children he will eventually go away.

I see the kiddies are back to name calling again.

Bring a point to the table then we will talk.

The only real negativity comes from harborbreeze. Every single degraded thread on here involves him. Some of you need to realize that this forum is to help people have OPTIONS. Its not to solely direct people toward one single product, service, or manufacturer. I'm sure you're all extremely happy with your TP Xcal2, and thats great. But these people want options as to everything that is available, and they can't get it when the thread (every time) gets hijacked and turned into a screamin match about whose stuff is crap and whose stuff is the best.

My post are public for all to see.

And you are quite correct, some are negative.

When certain people come here and attack vendors, make outlandish statements with no proof, call names, and generally act out of control, you can bet I will have something to say.

Further more if you feel my post are in violation of any forum rules feel free to hit the report button, otherwise unless you can post without calling names, attacking supporting vendors, and purposely posting false information, you can bet you will be challenged.

Its easy to see WHO practices this by simply reading previous posts.

And by you purposely attacking me only proves my point.

So go ahead and throw stones, everyone knows the intent, as it has been proven time and time again.

And I never scream, unlike some, I do not need to scream, I simmply prove my point, which seems to enrage those trying to stay at the center of attention.

So in closing, Act civil here, don't attack supporting vendors, don't be rude, don't publish false information, then perhaps no one will call you on your posts.

Name calling and deride a supported vendor to get attention to your cause will never go unnoticed, but I think you know that and still these posts continue, I surmise as a way of getting attention.

And as for painting me as the bad guy, look at the posts starting in early december, then the posts after early december, its clear to see when the trouble started and where the trouble started.

So again, if you feel anything I post is against forum rules, then hit the report button, otherwise I will defend who I wish, when I wish.

Come on guys... good grief.

Discuss chips, tuners, and other performance gear... please... for the love of all things good!

If you want to have drama, we'll migrate it all down to General Discussions (which is where half of the crap that has been posted recently belongs).

Focus... Focus... Focus!!!!

This forum is the CHIPS, TUNERS, and PROGRAMMERS forum... please keep the discussion somewhere within that realm.... Like I said elsewhere, the 'my daddy is better than your daddy' banter has GOT to stop!

Thanks for understanding guys.... I'm not trying to play the 'big bad moderator guy' here, just trying to railroad things back on to the tracks... there's been a major derailment around here lately for some reason...

Thanks guys.

RP

Wow thanks for the help guys !!

As you can see from the number of posts by my name, I don't usually reply to a lot of posts around here. I was not intending to attack or bash anyone.

I forgot how sensitive some people can get around here.
