Gobra,
Unfortunately, because of the way the menuing is handled, dynamic options must be loaded in at the end of the list. Things like "Return to Stock" and "Load Previous Settings" are not able to go in anywhere except the bottom of the list. I'll discuss with the guys on Monday and see if there is anything else that can be done.
Mosinee,
Alot depends on whether or not you have programmed to a level already and whether or not the unit has been disconnected. I do know that if you were to program, say, Level 3 and disconnect then reconnect the unit, the values in the Custom Options would be the "Tuned" values from Level 3. Otherwise, they should be the "Stock" values.
Hope this helps.
Bill

I tried level three again today with 91 octane, it installed fine, I drove it for an hour or so. But when I shut the truck off, started it again, it revved up to 2000rpm and stayed there, wouldn't come down, I tapped the throttle and still wouldn't go below 2000. Shut the truck off and restarted again a couple times and the same thing. So I loaded the stock tune back in and drove back home, once at my house, I installed the level 3 tune again and then it worked normally for now. Weird. I did get a couple of DTC's but didn't write them down
. The first said a throttle actuator error of sorts, the second cleared on its own somehow, maybe after reinstalling the tune, not sure, but its gone too now. Any guesses?

I have never disconnected without returning it to stock. Are you saying the values that show up (say when you first get the unit or after an update) are the "Stock" values? When I went in to do a custom tune, I thought the values in there were the values set by Edge. It would be niice to know what the default values (rev limiter, WOT shifts, etc.) are that "you" program for the different levels. It would give me a good starting point to compare to when customizing. Would it be possible to get those values?
Thanks

I had a chance to go WOT on my level 2 setting and from the 1-2 shift, the engine hit the rev limiter before shifting. I haven't had a chance to check the numbers, but I just had the default tune for level 2. I assume I can custom tune and fix it. I'll work on it tomorrow, but I am now concerned about doing anything at a time whe EDGE teck support is not at work. Starting to lose a bit of confidence with this tuner.

As far as WOT and Rev limiter setting... they are as follows:
Level 3
1-2 = 5100
2-3 = 5100
3-4 = 5000
Rev = 5600
Level 2
1-2 = 5000
2-3 = 5000
3-4 = 4900
Rev = 5400
Level 1
1-2 = 5000
2-3 = 5000
3-4 = 4900
Rev = 5400
Stock
1-2 = 4975
2-3 = 4950
3-4 = 4400
Rev = 5100 - 5200 (Depending on Calibration)
As you can see, the 400 RPM difference between the 1-2 WOT Shift and Rev Limit should be more than adequate considering the original values. As I had mentioned before, I had a similar issue with hitting the rev limiter which I no longer have. Hopefully, I'll get more information (Hint Hint) and be able to determine where the issue is. Until then, there is nothing I can do.
Y'all have fun now, ya hear!?
Bill
Sorry Bill,
Didn't expect you on site during the weekend.
I just got the following numbers off my unit:
rev limiter 5175
WOT 1-2 4975
2-3 4950
3-4 4400
V1.00a
E3.12.12a
Firmware 12
Hex file RXCM5MZ.HEX
I returned it to stock and will reprogram tomorrow.
Thanks

Would this engine be ok with the rev limiter at 5600 in the tow tune? I don't want to put undo load on it, but if it's ok with the level 3, why not level 2?
Of course, I'm not towing a 9000 lb trailer.

Can't you just dial up different settings, and judge for yourself?
Why do you need tech support?

Ok, went and got some coffee, filled up with 87 oct, and did some troubleshooting.
Reloaded level 2 with adjustments for gear ratio and tire size.
Went WOT and rev limiter hit on 1-2. Checked records and showed a max rpm of 5334.
Reloaded level 2 without custom tune and the shift was fine with no banging of the rev limiter. Checked records and showed a max rpm of 5304.
Reloaded level 2 with adjustments for gear ratio and tire size.
Worked fine. No banging of the rev limiter. Checked records and show a max rpm of 5304. 9.1 on the 0-60.
I'll check again later if I go somewhere, but all seems to be ok.

...it really only takes 20 seconds to program the Rev limiter and shift points manually...
I have noticed another problem however. When the trans downshifts for more power, sometimes I wind up hitting the rev limiter even when I have a 300-400 rpm spread between the limiter and the shift points.

Sure it only takes 20 seconds to reprogram, but on the canned tuned, you should not have to. And that is what Bill is trying to fix.
