Datalogging question
Datalogging question
After reading a few posts, I am completely convinced that I NEED the Xcal2.
I do have a question about the data logging though. When I do the datalogging, will the results from the datalogging show other things that could be wrong with the truck. For example, will the datalogging show if I have a slight miss in one cylinder or if the O2 sensors are dirty or things of this nature. Sorry if this is has already been covered, I didnt find anything in a search.

No, the datalogging is NOT a substitute for *diagnostics* - those are 2 separate things. Now we will come across something like O2 sensors that are not behaving properly, but usually that's about it, it's not a diagnostic session, it's strictly a datalogging session, where we are taking a look at how the engine is running.
That info, along with the maintenance info provided on our CPW's generally lets us know if the vehicle needs attention somewhere, and if so, we will make a note of that on the docs we send out to each individual with their custom tuning.
Thats'; about the best answer I can give you - I don't think it would be accurate to say that "datalogging" would take the place of, or serve the same purpose as, "diagnostics," basically.
