Troyer!
Thanks for your enthusiast post!
I wonder....would that tactic really work on our wives when we want another new go-fast part? You know, the ole' "Troyer is the best so get me my e-fans" routine. Hmmm.......it might start a trend.
I'd say the potential fuel mileage savings probably has a better shot - but then you really have to keep your foot out of it for a little while so she can see better MPG and feel justified, otherwise you'll be toast the next time you try!
All kidding aside, good luck & Merry Christmas!

Hey Desperado,
Congratulations!!!
Now *that* is one of the stranger compromises/exchanges I have even heard.
Years ago, I worked out a deal with my wife, where I had just bought a brand new 1994 Corvette a few moths after the 1995 season started (it was a leftover I got a good deal on that had never been sold, had no miles on it, etc.), but I had managed to locate the very last Z07 Corvette ever made, a 1995 model that was built fairly early in the 1995 Corvette model year. Well, I had to trade the 1994 I had just bought to get the last Z07 made, meaning I was going to take a pretty good sized lost - so to make the deal,I bought here a Mustang GT 5-spd and taught here how to speed shift, do power 180's & some other moves as well as some modifications for it, and in exchange, I got the last Z07 ever made.
But I think your deal tops mine - cosmetic surgery for a supercharger - go Dude, GO!
Congratulations!!!
