Xcal 2 belt squeak?

When I first got it, it used to squeak loud and crisp almost like a BOV. Now after about 4 months I sometimes do not squeak, and if I do, it is usually a lot tammer than before. Any reason why this is happening? Truck still moves but as stated, less the squeak.

After loading my Xcal2 tunes, I too had a squeak. I unloaded the tune, took the truck to the dealer and complained about the squeak. They asked me if I had modded my truck. I told them that I had only added larger tires. They lubed the tires and the squeak went away.

Read Mike's instructions that came with the Xcal2. It addresses belt squeak.

desparado raised an interesting point, should a person use synthetic lube in steel belted tires?

YOu guys are too funny - READ your Troyer Performance docs that come with your Troyer Performance custom tuning and you will immediately KNOW what that is, why it occurs, and how easy it is to take care of.

In short, it's because yo have a crappy quality factory serpentine belt, and when we add power and better shifting, it squeals when you nail the throttle, especially near the upshifts - so just replace your stock serpentine belt with a Goodyear Gatorback belt - we carry them in stock in the right sizes for all these F-150's!

Heck, some of these trucks even do that in bone-stock trim!

I wasnt actually questioning it because I like it. I was just wondering why it was going away without me doing anything. I was scared the belt might be streched out or I might not be shifting as hard.
