Question For Mike

I have spent time on this site learning about the excal.2,and the info needed to get the custom tunes.
I believe that thier is a number on the inside of the door that reflects your code.
My 01 lightning shattered a valve and so on and i recd. a new rebuilt longblock.
How can i get the correct number for it as im sure they didnt put it on the door.
Thanks jeff.

The computer code should not have changed as you only had the engine replaced, not the electronics...

Hi Jeff,

Sorry to hear about your engine problems!

Typically, the 1999 - 2004 Lightnings only have 1 computer code each model year, and the 2001's are CXN1 - I happen to own one myself.

You can see this sticker by opening the passenger door and looking in the front part of the door frame, in the general area of the door hinges - you can also see it on the PCM itself, which is located just above the passenger's kick panel. there will be a small black plastic pressure clip that holds the back of the PCM up against it's mounting bracket - if you pull that clip straight back, you can usually see another code sticker on the back of the PCM - which looks like an aluminum rectangular-shaped box, by the way.

If you have any problems locating it, just give us a call and we'll be happy to help!
