Mike Please Help

Hey mike...as you all know, im new to this forum, but i love and and i read it everyday. I just placed my order for the XCAL II and sent in the paperwork today. Just got confirmation email that you got the facts...now the fun part is the WAIT!!! After reading over more and more forums, i am really starting to second guess my choices of the 3 performance tunes. I decided to go with the 87 per. 91 tow. and 91 per. since I live in yuma arizona and 93 octane is not that easy to come by... oh well...anyways..from what ive heard, the 91 settings are just as good. Anyways...my truck is the usual daily driver, and like everyone else im sure....i do my share of "drag racing"...not serious...but just at green lights with my buddies or pretty much anyone else who wants a piece of my 2005 Ford F-150....good luck!!! anyways...i don't do much towing at all..if any...but i have heard from these forums that the low end torque these truck have in the 91 tow is insane!! As for my driving routines...i want to be able to have people know that my truck is "NOT STOCK"....... other than the intake and slowmaster and soon to be XCAL II...."yes I know u don't recomend flowmaster...but it's all my wallet can afford...lol , and that FORDS demand the respect they deserve. For the 3 settings I chose....in your opinion are they the best suited for my custom needs or would u recomend otherwise. Mike, any help would be great and I'd be open to any advice from my fellow f150online forum bros......

I think we always second guess ourselves. This has proven even in testing that many times you did the right thing to begin with and answered the question correctly but yet you are left wondering whether you did the right thing or not and changing the answer would not be the way to go. If Mike spoke to you then I feel his knowledge and experience has given you the right combination to begin with. The numbers don't lie. I think you really want reassurance and we all seek that; to justify our purchases(or say something positive to convince our wives that it was money well spent). I have heard nothing bad from Troyer performance. You have a few bad posts from impatient people who feel they are the only human beings with a truck. I have not personally dealt with him but have read 99% positive reviews. You can't make everyone in the world happy. Some people just want to live pissed off always and find someone to blame if they didn't get a free product or 100% refund. Another thing that gets people are the prices for gas. In my experience the higher Octane has given me better performance and better mileage and keeps your engine cleaner with less deposits so if its 20 cents more expensive your'e only looking at 4 dollars difference for 20 gallons of gas. That to me is worth the difference. I think you made the right choice and hopefully I will be able to get the XCAL-II, myself. Don't second guess yourself. That's why this forum is available. Read about other experiences, decide what best suits your needs and go for it. Screw what others think and do what makes you happy. You may hear the phrase "your first answer is the right answer" when you start second guessing yourself you'll never be pleased. Good luck.

Hi tigga83,

TX-FX-4 made some excellent points in his post - and I think your choice of tunes is exactly what you should have, I wouldn't change them at all.

So I'd say just relax, you're fine with what you originally decided!
