Xcal 2 shipping ???

Does TP ship the Xcal2 and AF1 intakes directly form their shop Vs drop shipping? I should be close to the top of the list since I sent in my worksheets about 5 weeks ago. This afternoon I got a shipping confirmation email and tracking number for a 3lb item to be delivered on the 10th, only issue is that it says it's from Performance Products. I never ordered anything from them and after a search of their site they don't carry either the xcal2 or AF1. The tracking number wasn't active yet either. I'm like a freakin kid at Christmas here, and getting antsy for the tuner For those that have gotten their tuners, what was the confirmation email like? TIA

That's Troyer. It's your Xcal2.

I expected the email to be from Troyer performance not performance products? Oh well at least it's on the way!!!!!! I have to go into work at noon on the 10th, so hopefully it'll get in before I leave since a signature is required. Now I guess I'm just waiting on the AF1 intake.

Hi WheelerFreak,

My friend, had simply looked at any of our posts, you would have seen right there in our signature line that Performance Products is indeed us, and that where it is coming from is directly from us. And our UPS account is in the correct and proper name of our corporation, which is Performance Products, Inc. We also have a "DBA,' which is Troyer Performance.

So relax - it's your XCal 2 shipment.

And if you ordered an AF1 from us, then that is probably being drop-shipped (so you won't get a tracking number) simply because due to the very high demand for them, we can't keep them in stock despite the fact that we order them hundreds at a time!! So the AF1's tend to ship directly form Air Force One, even though we normally carry large quantifies of every thing we sell right here in stock - in fact, I can't stand the drop-ship only operations, as they are usually just a phone room sweat shop that knows virtually nothing about the products, do no testing in most cases, and are, IMHO, the scourge of the industry. Anyone that doesn't normally stock what they sell can't possibly have any real knowledge of those products, and certainly won't have employees with hands-on experience with those products day in and day out.

There are very few products we drop-ship - it is limited only to those products that either are in such demand that they cannot be kept in stock, which is usually a just temporary condition, or it's a type of product that is custom made and thus has no business sitting around on a shelf - like our custom torque converters, or our custom race transmissions, built engines, etc.

I know this can sometimes be confusing, so here's a suggestion - next time you have any questions about any product ordered from us or a shipment, please pick up the phone and check with us, as the rules of F-150 Online require that those kinds of inquiries be handled off the boards and directly between customer & vendor. There is even a reminder of this posted in bold red typeface at the top of every page where you make a post.

Thanks very much for your understanding on this, & enjoy your new XCalibrator 2!

Mike, I totaly understand. But as I've posted before, when I'm at work I don't have phone access( cell or land line) but do have high speed internet? I just didn't know(or aparently bother to look at your sig). I had heard of Performance Products and didn't realize it was the same. I had seen PP catalogs for specific brands, like toyota etc, is this the same? Anyway I happy that it is finally on it's way. It has been killing me to see the posts about Xcal2's and not have mine. Now I just have to wait till the 10th. Thanks again, for responding and for a great (hopefully) product!!!

Hi Wheelerfreak,

Thanks for your post!

We understand that there are a few people who can't call us from work since it's a long-distance call - that is why we have 24 hour voicemail so they can just leave their name & number & we can call them back, etc.

Over the years a lot of people have confused us with the "other" Performance Products Inc., and so that is one of many reasons why we started marketing under our family name some years ago, as well as the fact that the Troyer name has been very well known in racing circles for many years, from NHRA drag racing to NASCAR, where my cousin Maynard's chassis has been the standard of NASCAR late-model modifieds for many years.

So we're not the same company that sends out those catalogs you mention, as we don't have anything to do with Toyota's - we're strictly American-made vehicle performance nuts.

Glad your shipment is on it's way & have fun!
