XCal2 tune installed
Glory be to god, UPS delivered my XCal2 on Thursday, September 8th. After reading all the SCT instructions and great material provided by Troyer I ran outside to see what she would do. My first attempt led to an "Engine Failsafe Mode" and crank/no start. Using the XCal2, I pulled P2101 and P2107 DTC codes. At this point I was very glad that I ordered from such a reputable dealer, because Mike and Anita had the problem sorted out by 8:00 pm Friday, September 9th. Amazing even with "Dyno Day" on Saturday they were kind enough to work through the problem even into the night hours on Friday. It was great to work with Anita and Mike first hand at troubleshooting the problem, which ended up being a SCT database error and nothing related to the custom tune.
My initial impression of the 87 octane performance tune is amazing. These customs tunes sure wake up these sleeping beasts. The shift points are 100x better than the stock tune and the throttle reponse is amazing. I can't wait to try out the 93 octane performance tune. Thanks, Mike and Anita. Job well done.

"You're killing me, Larry....!" (Quoted from a local mattress company commercial slogan)
I see from another post today that 5.4Screw is still waiting also and I know he is ahead of me. I must vow not to read any more threads about how super this tuner is until I get my own... And then I can tease everyone else waiting in line behind me!

HI Justin,
And thanks to you for working with us on that problem - there was a software issue on SCT's end that caused that problem - and I suspect we may get a few more no-starts like that fro those who we tuned & sent out over that same time period, but so far, nobody else has called other than the first 3, all of whom are taken care of by now.
Yes, we did stay very late Friday night when we really needed to take off for our Dyno Day the next morning - but on the other hand, it was at least as important to make sure that you and the others were up and running - and that's what it's all about.
Glad to see you are enjoying your new tuning, & have fun!
