Question Question for mike

hey mike i just ordered a xcal2 and was talking to crystal? (not good with names) about my tunes. i still have alot of things to do as far as modding but thought i would go ahead and get the xcal now since i can change stuff later. But my question about the tunes is i want a 96 octane drag strip tune if its possible. i dont drive my truck but maybe 1 or 2 times a week if that much and was also was wondering how much of a difference there would be between a 96 drag tune and a 93 drag tune.

You will undoubtably get a much quicker response if you call Mike. He spent the entire weekend dyno-ing and tuning (both days) and will more than likely not look here for a day or two.....

HI Justin,

Well, we're talking about the difference of 3 points of octane - so assuming you can get ALL the fuel in the system up to an honest no-less-than 96 octane, we can usually gain another 8-14 HP, depending on the vehicle. Is it enough to be worthwhile? Sure, if you are a drag racer looking for everything you can get, and are using a PROPER fuel formulation - meaning not just duping in octane booster, but actually adding in the right amount of 100-104 octane racing gas (unleaded) to your existing 93 octane premium pump gas.

You;ll want to give us a call to go over this in proper detail, as always.

Thanks for your post & hope to speak with you!
