Got the email from UPS. Xcal2 is on the way with expected delivery the middle of next week. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town on business all week, so I wont have a chance to pick it up at the office and try it out until Saturday. But, I'll be sure to follow tradition and post my thoughts, further intensifying the envy of those still waiting!

According to MT, people with the Xcal2 already, have to send it in to get it updated BUT, I can order it NOW with the user adjustability.
Looks like I'll be giving Troyer Performance a call Monday.

Hi SAJEFFC (& everyone else),

Funny post, glad to hear you're enjoying it!

And yes, if you like what my 87 octane tuning did, you'll LOVE what my 93 octane performance tuning will do - heh-heh.

The 1-2 in our performance tunes hits like it should when you are at full-throttle, like you said (it's gentler in our towing tunes, of course) - but then rest of the time it's just nice & docile, nobody really knows what's lurking with further throttle exploration. We do this not only to give a proper linear shift feel, but also so that ANYONE can drive the vehicle in ANY type of weather, even on snow & ice, with our performance tuning installed. We don't' cause the truck to swap ends with a to-stiff gear change in inclement weather, that is actually one of the many things we specifically test for.

And I'm glad to see your comments on how the gas pedal feels - we take care of that, too - no longer does it feel like it's complete mush with no direct connection to the engine. Now it feels nice & solid, and responds right NOW when you tip into the throttle - like it should.

And you guys waiting on your tunes will be happy to note that it looks like rain here this weekend, so it looks like no fun for Mike, no cruising in the Lightning, or the Cobra, or the supercharged 5.4 3V F-150, etc - nothing but my face stuck in the monitor this weekend doing tune after tune! Actually, that's what ends up happening most weekends anyway, I rarely get any break. Well, I take that back - last weekend I had a break - which was a Lightning show up on the dyno that had a broken fuel pump, wrong O2 sensors, and other problems that I pounded on for 5 hours!!! (For a *very* nice owner who I think the world of & is now taking care of his issues) - then we pull his brother's Lightning up, which I had also tuned some months back via mail order, and it was on the dyno for maybe 15 minutes - all of 2 pulls. It was dead-nuts perfect, right on the money, and we had never seen the vehicle before or ever datalogged it.

Speaking of which, we'll be doing another Dyno Day on Saturday, September 10th - anyone interested? If so, give us a call & we'll get you scheduled in - however, I have to warn you that we are doing some specif testing (AGAIN), as we have a couple of buffoons right now trying to assassinate us by claiming our tuning doesn't make any more power than off-the-shelf tuners, etc.

So we are going to want a stock or close to stock 2004 and a similar 2005 F-150 so we can dyno them stock, then with the standard Superchips tuning, and then with our custom tuning on them. Then if there is time, we want to do the dyno between the Air Force One intake kit and the stock intake kit, for the few "gentleman" who, despite me having given them all the numbers 3 times previously, are still basically calling us liars in another section.

So once we're true with all that, then we'll be happy to dyno-tune anyone who wants us to, or just put their truck up on the dyno to see what it makes, etc. If need be, we may even carry it over into Sunday the 21st and make it a TWO DAY affair, so anyone interested just give us a call!

Thanks for your reply Mike, I really appreciate it. I must say this is the best aftermarket purchase experience I've ever had. The product not only did everything you said it would but the customer service was the best I've ever received. I work at an 86 yr old family owned Ford dealer thats known for customer service and I don't think we can match your organization. I hate to say this but I was also considering the Magnaflow and AF1 but I may just stop now. I love this big quiet plush monster truck especially now that it has some serious bite! Take care Mike and I wish you much continued sucess.

Yeah, bad for Mike, good for the rest of us on the waiting list! I'll order a pizza online and have it sent to you if you'll just please stay in front of that computer! I'm sure you're working hard, but don't let your eyes cross up when you're working on my tune! Seriously, take a break when you need to, one more day ain't gonna kill me... I like the torture of waiting!

Good to hear! Beer for me, maybe two or more (unless I'm driving). Glad to see a fellow Okie on this board, do we have anymore? The wife and I have pretty much decided to leave SoCal by the end of the year. (love the weather, hate the traffic). We'll see about hooking up after then. Until that time, we'll see who gets their XCal the soonest and gets to brag first! Take care!

I think you are in line for the first one!

Please! when you get it post the results! I got the 87, 91,93 performance tunes as I do next to no towing. I am going to start with the 91 tune afterflushing out all the nasty 87 octain with good clean 91!!!! I still feel so stupid, I am litterally almost shaking just typing about gettingg that damn X-CAL! This '05 Lariat is by far the nicest truck I have ever owned, the 98 was nice but this thing is just the bomb, and when it gets a little bit to go with its bark........well I guess I just will be able to say I am totally pleased!
Talk to you all soon!
Ted

Hi 02Sport,

Don't worry, we have these dyno days pretty frequently, so you won't miss out on anything - if you want to get on the dyno at the end of September we'll probably be able to work it out!

For SKI - sorry that surprise on your doorstep wasn't the surprise you were hoping for - but hang in there, it won't be long now!

For KRconvert - that's too funny, and nice of you to think of the pizza - one of my favorite hacker/programmer/tuner foods of all time. I go cross-eyed every day anyway, that's about the time my wife makes me stop - you should see it every day, it's like "Mike, you HAVE to stop now (me) - Nah, just a few more I want to get done tonight (wire) GET YOUR BUTT OUTTA THE OFFICE NOW OR I'LL (fill in the blanks)........ is usually about how that goes.

For Okie - Hang in there, and don't feel foolish - you should have seen me the last month waiting on a particular order for one of our trucks from one particular manufacturer - I drove my staff nuts checking on it 2 & 3 times every day, and having them check on it, and then re-check, and then tell me again why it wasn't here - only to do the same thing all over again the next day, and the next day, and so in - it finally arrived today, but I haven't even had time to look at it, so they're ready to shoot me!!!

Have fun all,

I can relate to that. It cost me a $2500 bed. Just to buy a Harley. Which I sold two years later and still have the bed.
