Which one?

I just got my first L... it's an '00, ticket red colored one. Suggestions appreciated on which programmer to use. I've had some experience with Superchips but I'm not sure if that would the best application? What in the devil is an XCalibrator 2. Is it made by Superchips?

Hi PDQ,

Welcome to F-150 Online!

For the best tuning, you'll want to use our Troyer Performance *custom* tuning, and we deliver that in the XCalibrator 2 device that is seen at the link the other poster listed for you. We've been custom-tuning the Lightning longer than virtually anyone else, debuting the first performance chip for them within the first 2 weeks of their release back in 1999.

HOWEVER - you get a special price on that XCalibrator 2 device (and all or tuning products) from us because you are now a *registered* member of this web site, so the price you see at our web site is higher than what your actual cost will be - so you'll want to make sure to give us a call for all those details.

We do complete Lightning performance packages, everything from "just" tuning all the way to making them into 9-second 1/4 mile monsters - and everything in between, so we cna help you with everything you;ll need.

One quick note - if that Lightning is bone-stock, then you also need a mod to the transmission to allow it to fill the oncoming clutches much quicker to prevent burning them at higher power levels - and that is both easy and inexpensive to do - just give our staff a quick call at our number listed below & they'll be happy to go over all of this with you in proper detail!

Oh, by the way - congrats on your Lightning!
