Newbie to Forum ? for Mike
My check should be deposited tomorrow, so going to call mike. Now the only problem is deciding which tunes to get in the xcal2. I don't do any towing at the moment or plan on doing much towing. I may have to haul my yamaha grizzle around a little. So can anyone recommend which tunes to get in the xcal2. I can get the 93 octane here in wv, and as u know its quite mountanous, so any recommendation would be great.
Hi Ski;
Yeah, I've driven through there a few times - simply georgeous countryside. Lucky man.
If you are not towing or tow lightly and only occasionally, 87 perf, 91 perf, 93 perf is a start. ( I think the term 'max' is no longer applicable in most cases).
If you need to tow, you can always go back to stock
The reason I'm specifying perf is, in hilly country, you need all the help you can get in powertrain responsiveness
These are just my recommendations - Search here and you'll find plenty of other combos.
TP can also provide advice as well - and they are located in Virginia - so pay 'em a visit!
Cheers

Hi SKI,
Though that is not the code code we are looking for (which will be 3 letters followed by 1 number, 4 digits total - like TEM7, BME9, ACB8, etc.), we can usually cross-reference from that type of code you got.
The 12A650 in the middle identifies it as the F-150, and that is usually a part# reference for the PCM's calibration code, so we should be able to cross-reference it to the box code we need.
Just make sure to keep that info handy, and give it to us when you call in your order, OK?
Congrats on getting that info, and on getting the OK for the XCal 2!
