Thanks Mike,
I received the data logging instructions via email. I printed them out, what a read. I didn't have Excel but I downloaded for free openoffice it works good and I can even manipulate the sample spreadsheet you sent.
I should be receiving the Autotap and MAF Extender today.
Thanks again Mike and I will be calling to briefly go over the data logging requirements when I get my base tune and ported blower on and set up my Dyno time.

Hi Mike,
I got the MAFXtender installed. You can't even see where I installed it. My new Dell Laptop should be here this week. Then it's Plug, Blower and Tune install and off to the dyno.

Hi Peter,
You took the plunge on a NEW Dell laptop?!? Good for you!
I have to confess, I've got nice 15" laptop from 2001 that I don't have 200 hours on, it was the first laptop to have a 15" screen - so it's plenty big enough even for now. But I just had to take the plunge, too - so I just went out & bought a new HP 17" screen laptop - man, talk about having some real estate on a laptop screen, this one has got it!
Unfortunately, it's also a big P4 heat-monster and it's battery life isn't much - but then, I really wasn't looking much for battery life when I got it, I was just too excited about the 17" screen. That HP unit with the 17" screen came out back in 2003, but the way I wanted it set up was $4000 back then - so I just wanted, and got the same unit last Sunday for $1800, so I'm happy about it. Now I just have to find a case & a way to lug that heavy 10 lb monster around!
Congrats on your new laptop, now you'll be datalogging in style!

Hi Peter,
Yep, the wireless Internet is certainly convenient, got that too -
Mike Dell is quite the character - these days he's just turned into a job-cutting yuppie if it will add 2 cents to his share price, but he *used* to be a real maverick. Year ago, back in the mid-80's when he was first getting started, he refused to FCC-certify any of his computers - and the FCC was buying them undercover and testing them, found they were spewing massive EMF/RFI and sent him fine after fine - which he promptly tore up and threw in the trash.
This went on for about 2 years, until one day the FCC shows up with 18-wheel trucks to haul off his entire operation and put him out of business - he has his employees chain the doors so the FCC can't get it, and gets on his phone with his attorney to try to negotiate a daily fine he can pay to keep his people working - but STILL not bring his machines into spec or get them FCC certified like the rest of us had to - what a buffoon! Obviously they finally did get everything worked out, it's just a great story about "the early days" of the no-name clones, and how Mike has gone on to make a multi-billion dollar company out of that little operation. He used to tell that story at COMDEX each year.
Funny guy - I wonder how many people came down with various illnesses due to his machines spewing out EMI-RFI back then - probably few if any, since in those days, every 2 weeks there was another processor coming out so people didn't keep their machines long - and he did finally get all of that taken care of, of course, and today he has great hardware and has had for years & years now.
Classic American "little guy" success story.
Many companies standardize on Dell products, he has done a great job with that company - these days I just don't like how he'll let thousands of people go based on his stock price, there's no excuse for ignoring basic humanity, as always, it's your *people* that make or break you, not the guy at the top (rare cases excepted).
Just some trivia you didn't need..............
Anyway, glad you got a nice P4 Dell laptop - it'll be interesting to see how your battery life is - it'll probably be far better than mine!
