Computer Programmer??

Allright well to start off this is my first post so take it easy ill try my best. Iam really looking to get that extra boost in my truck and i think after a little searching a computer chip is a smart choice. Now comes the hard part, wich one they all pretty much do the same thing, just wich one does it better is the question.... well N e ways theres 3....

1. Superchip Tritune Microtuner: The pros to this one is that i can use it not only on myn and my dads 2004 f150's but also help my mom out with the power lag she has in her 04 4.6l expidition (because the programmer can work on any 2004 v8 except 4.6 dohc) the numbers arent bad either 20hp 32lbs or so it claims

2. Diablosport Predator: Now i really liked this one at first because its the only one that i know that actually has live updates (pc interface kit) so if im geussin it makes it a little smarter then the rest, being able to download new data when released instead of being stuck with the same options .... but this thing says it can only get you 15-20 hp and doesnt even list the lbs of trq

3. Hypertech Power Programmer 3: Is my favorite but for only the obvise reason 25hp 40ft./lbs. gains

Each one to me has one main thing that really strikes me but i just dont know wich one is the better choice.... Please let me know if anyone has any of these to give me some ideas, and what i should go with!

Do yourself a favor and go over to Troyerperformance.com and check out the Superchips X-Calibrator. There is NOBODY that has been programming, selling, and servicing tuners longer than Mike Troyer. His custom tuning per your trucks modifications, or even in the stock mode are excellent. The X-Calibrator can be updated via email if the need arises. Don't fall for another vendors generic tuning when you can have the best. Check it out!!!!

You can only use the Superchips microtuner on only one vehicle at a time.

The X-Calibrator is very simple to use. No screen, it has two buttons and some LED lights. It can hold 3 custom tunes plus the factory tune. You just push the select button to chose which tune and then the program button and it loads automatically in a couple of minutes. Also the advantage is that this comes with "custom" tuning and not generic tunes that some others use. Mike at troyerperformance.com has years and years of experience tuning these trucks.

As Nihilism stated, these tuners are designed so that you can only use it on one vehicle at a time. Once you program a vehicle, it gets vin-locked to that vehicle and won't allow you to program another vehicle until you restore the original vehicle back to "factory" settings.

Exactly what 01screw said. It dosen't get any easier, or better than the X-Calibrator from Mike at Troyer Performance...He has tuned every vehicle I have owned and I have used almost every tuning device he has sold and the X-Calibrator is the best by far...

Hi FX2004,

What will actually get you the best results is our *custom* tuning - which would be delivered in the Xcalibrator that these other members are telling you about.

In our *custom* tuning (even for a bone-stock vehicle), we get larger safe & sustainable power gains & performance increases than in other tuning products for these vehicles. We specialize in the F-series platform vehicles and have for many years now, which is why most people come to us for their tuning needs in these vehicles. With our custom tuning you get the benefit of much more in-depth tuning and a set of 3 different custom tunes, made specifically for your individual vehicle, how you operate it, any modifications, etc.

Also, the Xcalibrator DOES have the email update capability you spoke about - so you don't give that up when you go with our Xcalibrator. Now the #1714 Superchips Micro Tuner does not have that email update capability - but the Xcalibrator (our part# 9300) that we use to deliver our custom tuning *does* have that capability, so you'll have that feature.

Please feel free to give us a call at our number listed below to go over all of this in proper detail, get your special pricing as a registered member of F-150 Online, etc.
