Mabe Xcalibrator problem!!

My 03 Lightning recently had an upper pulley (2.80) and a 4 lb lower, my blower ported to go with my AirForce One and Magnaflow Catback. My problem is that second gear will not shift until the speedomerter reachs 49 MPH. It used to shift about 35 when taking it easy. I thought 49MPH is pretty high! Is this normal for an Xcalibrator? Thanks.

Do you have a valve body in your transmission?

My Xcalibrator shifts at various speeds depending on how much throttle I give it; not one set speed.

We've talked to this gentleman - nice guy, he won his tuning free from another company, and it's (apparently) not shifting correctly on the 3-4, having a significantly delayed 3-4 upshift at light throttle.

We advised him that he also needs some other changes to support his ported blower and upper & lower pulleys - either an upgraded MAF meter or ratio the engine displacement, MAF & injector variables in the tuning (which may or may not already be done in his present tuning, we don't know) and then datalog it. He also needs a transmission mod to decrease clutch fill time (line mod valve, shift kit of Factory Tech Valve Body) so the real performance of that vehicle can be unleashed, and not burn the clutches.

We have provided him with all of that information by phone, very nice fellow & we wish him well with his Lightning!
