Custom tuners ?
I have a 98 f150 with the 4.6L and was wondering the difference between the 1715 superchips tuner vs. the custom tuner for my truck. What are the horsepower gains with each on my motor and the cost for each unit. I am looking for the best possible performance I can get. so I want to be sure I buy what is right. I already have a k@n intake kit and flowmaster 40 series cat back setup. Thanks

You need to call us to get all those details, as all of that is far too detailed to type it all out - and everyone who comes here wants to know the exact same thing you do "what's the best?"
Talking on the phone is hundreds of times quicker than typing, so we don't get into details here, as it simply takes too long to type it all out. Also, some of this is against the rules to discuss here - for example, things like pricing, Tech Support, order status, etc. have to be kept off the boards & discussed privately between the customer & us. For any number of reasons, this is something you'll really need to give us a call to go properly.
Also, this (like virtually everything else within the realm of Chips & Programming) has already been covered here many times before - so you can easily look all that info up by using the SEARCH feature that F-150 Online provides for that purpose. Everyone that comes here wants to know the same things basically, so rather than us typing it all out all over again every time eth next new person comes along & asks the exact same things, we refer you to use the SEARCH feature here so you can look it up, and of course, please give us a call for pricing, details, etc. - we're happy to help!
Just briefly - anyone who wants the best goes with our custom tuning, that's what delivers the best raw power & performance gains, as well as the best driveability, towing capabilities, etc. The power gains in our custom performance tunes for the 2003 & earlier F-series trucks are generally about 50% larger than in the "standard" tuning devices liek the 1715 - so it's certainly enough difference to easily be well worth the small diffeecne in price.
Feel free to read the posts here, you'll find tons of them from our customers who have us do our custom tuning for them - and make use of the SEARCH feature, etc. Then to really get the scoop, just give us a call & we'll be happy to go over everything with you in proper detail, OK?
