Superchips Programmer ?

Been a while since I've been on the board. Had a question on my tuner. If the battery has been disconnected, do you need to re program the computer with the tuner?

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

Nope - you can have the battery disconnected for quite some time and not need to reprogram the PCM.

It's not like RAM in a PC for example, think of it as a ROM chip - so once it's burned, the instructions stay there - they aren't volatile and lost like in RAM chips in a PC when power is interrupted, for example.

Thanks Mike!! That's what I thought, but wanted to be sure.
