Outdoorsmen,

For the F-series vehicle platform, what gets the best actual results is our custom tuning - there are plenty of posts here you can read from other members who are using our tuning in their trucks, who have compared it to competitors, etc. Reading the posts here is the best way to find out what others are using, results, impressions, etc.

Everyone that comes here wants to know the same thing: "what's the best?" - so as you can imagine, those kinds of basic matters have been discussed countless times, so all you need to do is spend some time reading posts from the members here to see what they use & like.

We (Troyer Performance) have specialized in performance tuning the F-150 platform for many years, so most of the owners here come to us for their tuning needs, due to amount of R&D we've done on this platform & the excellent results we get.

You don't mention anything at all about what vehicle you have - what model (F-150, F-250 LD, Expedition, etc.) what model year, which engine, transmission, any mods, etc.

Sooooo..........

Here is a link to all of our tuning products for Ford Motor Company vehicles so you can get up to speed on what most people here are using - you'll want to read up in detail specifically on our Part# 6600 (4-program custom chip) and Part# 9100 (3-program custom Micro Tuner). These are the two different types of multi-program *custom* units that will actually get you the best results, as you get our in-depth custom tuning, not the "standard" off-the-shelf performance tuning that you will see in some of the other products at this link:

http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...chips%3BFoMoCo

Most people go with the #9100, which is the custom Micro Tuner as it's easy to install & has a built-on OBD-II code scanner, etc., and it's tuning can be updated via email with the optional email update kit - this is extremely handy for changes to tuning that may be needed when you make other modifications to your vehicle, etc.

As the other poster mentioned, any time you want to know something, use the SEARCH feature here to quickly retrieve and read any of the many posts here, as virtually anything anyone could ever want to know has been asked & answered here many hundreds, and sometimes literally thousands of times before - the icon to access SEARCH is in the upper right portion of your screen here. It has excellent filters and is easy to use.

Also, please feel free to give us a call at our number listed below, so we can go over all of this in proper detail with you, go over the specifics of your exact vehicle & how you use it, any existing or planned modifications, etc., & let you know exactly what we can do for your truck.

Thanks for dropping by & good luck with your truck!
