Hi Robin,

No, it will not - Superchips products are CARB-approved, so you can leave the 1715's tuning in place when you go to get it smogged.

Smog Passes

Thanks Mike

My truck passes with flying colors. The man at the smog center said it was very clean.

Just had mine sniffed last week so I could renew the license. . . ZERO emissions throughout the test range. Granted, I don't think Anchorage has quite the restrictions of California

Glad to hear it, gentlemen!

Most vehicles made over the past 15 years or so that are running properly are usually a bit below the allowable federal emissions limits for their respective model years - pretty "clean," in other words. Once these vehicles are warmed up, their emissions output is very small, relatively speaking - most of the emissions are made during the first cold start of the day, when the catalytic converters, the engine, etc., are all cold - once the vehicle is up to normal operating temperature, they run pretty darned clean overall.

The normal result once the Superchips tuning is installed is usually for those emissions to drop even lower - definitely very clean.
