Thumbs up My results with 1714...

04' supercrew 4x4 lariat 3.73 ls..no other mods. except a magnaflow exaust..tuned for 87 first and went with superchip settings on all options...only real diff. i felt was the shifts were more firm...then i tuned the truck for 91-93 (high perf) and filled her up with 92 oct...i selected stock +5mph for 1-2 and stock 10mph for the others....also raised shift press. to stock +20 on all shift points.....man the truck feels totally different now....the shifts under normal excelleration are smooth but firm and the wot shifts really hit hard and throw you back in the seat....these settings really woke my truck up and @ close to 7000lbs with the topper, bedliner and a few other add-ons i can tell there is more power coming from the 5.4.....also the new tune seemed to make my truck idle more smooth...before i got the 1714 the truck seemed to idle "ruff" when i first started up...now its very smooth and runs great.....thanks Troyer for the great discount for f150 online members...........

ps...my gas mileage went from 11.4 in town driving to 13.6 even tho i have been hard on the gas peddel lately with the new feel of the truck.......

Hey,
I was just gonna add my comments on the new 1714 tuner I purchased this week. I ran my 04 supercrew this weekend in the quarter with nothing but the tuning and was completely shocked. My truck ran so much better. It ran 16.8 in the quarter, and I have 33in tall tires. Not bad for only tuning. I didn't use any of the custom tuning options, just what supechips provides. Does anyone know how much difference it would make or what it would do if I plugged in my tire size into the program? I realized that after I was done tuning and wondered if that would have made a difference.
I'm getting exhaust put on my truck next weekend, and I'll keep everyone posted on my improvements and new quarter mile times.

John

Dude;

give it all the info.

I have an 01 Screw with 3.55 and 33x12.5r17's. giving it the corrected tire size will adjust the speedo correctly; but make sure you measure they way it tells you don't just give it the size. Also with the 33's you want to bump the shift point up to make up for not swaping out the gears when you changed the tire size. it will keep that under-reving that happends as you shift out of first and when you shift into over drive. it keeps the power band open.
