Cool

Beastie ... I will have to agree with Mike on his nice explanation of the exhaust notes produced by their new truck exhausts.

Have Fun & Keep on Truckin'

Got 2 kills in the past 2 days.

1) Late 80's 4 cyl cavalier. He took off quick from the light, spinning his tires...so I rolled into it at about 10mph...caught him, blew by, and let off at 50mph where he was about 4 cars back.

2) Early 90's F150 with a 5.0l...again, same thing, he took off from the light with a vengence, I looked at him as he laughed, then I put the gas to the floor where I walked him like no tomorrow.

Not bad for a stock 5.4l eh

Look at him and laugh...hehehe, look at me and laugh, and I will give you a run for your money. My "little" 5.0 will surprise you, just like it does to so many others

Hey mike, I think I might contact you about that setup here over the next few weeks. After weighing the decision in my mind, I've decided against supercharging because I believe my truck will have too many miles on it by the time I get the lump sum for a supercharger. Being in college, although fun, sucks sometimes. I also need to talk to you about the chip and a reburn after a new fuel pump/shift kit/gears.

On a side note(Neal, just in case you think this), I'm not trying to copy you. You've just done what works, and I wanna follow in your footsteps... even if it does mean that my truck weighs about 1000-1500 more and punches an even bigger hole in the air.

Hi 01F15054,

I think Beastie just misunderstood or misread your post, that's all. I've gotten to know him a bit & he's a very nice guy, I think he just misinterpreted.

These "Neal's Kills" threads originally were started as a joke for Neal to post all his "kills" in, but since then (and this was about 3 years ago the first "Neal's Kills" thread was started) it's grown & anyone's kills are welcome here.

Thanks for your post & be careful out there!

Yeah I did just misread it LOL
I was just saying that someone had started a thread for everyone else to post their kills in, so that this thread didnt get cluttered thats all.

Cool

HI!... FleasF-150eatshondas : A few things are new. I just had a WORLDWIDE TRANSMISSION's "race/duty" 2500 stall converter installed in my 4R70-W tranny. JMC gave me a hand re-installing my tranny in my truck. Also this weekend I did a lot of re-locating in my engine compartment, trying to clean it up a bit and make it easier to get to the spark plugs. I re-located my DPFE sensor and EGR vacuum solanoid off my intake to my driver's side inner fender well. I also re-located my power steering fluid tank over there as well. Got rid of a lot of vacuum hoses and installed a oil seperator on my PCV line. In just 4 hours, it gathered about a 1/4 inch of oil. Mike T and I are still trying to get my tuning done for my 90MM MAF.

As for "VICTIMS" , I beat a "2002" CHEVY 1500, REG-CAB, SB, SS, 5.3, AUTO by about 4 truck lengths and a kid in a "2001" GTP with MAGNAFLOW muffler, chip, blower pulley, and a ram air set-up. He told me he runs 14.1E.T and I beat him by about 1 truck length, if that. He was pissed. I was happy!LOL!

Sounds like some fun stuff goin' down Neal. You're going to be treading on some serious Lightning territory soon! Have you run one with your new exhaust yet?

Neal,

Do you plan on installing your Magna on your original engine or on the one that you are building? Do you have any projected date of supercharger installation? How much boost do you plan to run on the Magna?

HI!... IRON HORSE : I have decided not to go with a MAGNACHARGER on my truck after all. I'm going to go as far as I can in N/A form with my current 5.4 engine. Next SUMMER I'm going to built a all forged 5.4 engine with fully porte/polished heads wid MODMAX cams. Then I'm going to use a LIGHTNING's lower intake and intercooler combined with a AUTOROTOR or WIPPLE replacement blower. After having a lengthy chat with MIKE T the other night I'm leaning towards the wipple now. It's 2.3 liters and capable of 28PSI. I think I'll start off at 20PSI or so to start.

What !?! What!?! ...........I think I am going to be sick.........

I thought you were going to be Magna's Champion? Oh well, I guess I am going to have to be my own hero! ha!

You know, if you are going to go all out, why not go turbo? There is a F-150 Harley edition on ebay right now with a turbo that putts out 1,000 hp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your just kidding right? Your really still going with a Magna?

HI!... IRON HORSE : NOPE!!!!!!! I've been doing a TON of reasearch (like I always do before doing a mod) and have found out that the MAGNACHARGER is not up to the duty's that I want it to do. It's basically done at 10PSI!!!!!! The scew type compressors laugh at 10PSI!lol! When I want more POWER, I need MORE POWER!lol!

Neal, I think you'd be going through DT's if you ever found out there was nothing left to do to your truck!
