I had the same situation last week. Just cruisin' along and the trans kicked out of OD and the light was blinking. By the way, Mike, it was me who called you. I pulled the chip to verify it was clear. So far so good. I haven't had any problems or lights since. Let me know what you find out.

Mine didn't go out of o/d. The light just flashed then the speedo started acting weird.

Hi Bohunter,

Anytime you want to communicate with us about any problem you feel you're having with a Superchip that came from us, or report something back in regards to a problem, etc., please, you need to either call or email us, not post it on the Internet in a message to somebody else, as that's a good way for us not to see it.

If you desire assistance from us, or you want to report a problem to us, etc., all we ask is that you please follow your Performance Products instructions that came with your Superchip, and please communicate with us by phone or email, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can, ok?

Thanks in advance for your understanding, bohunter, we sincerely appreciate it.

I have the same exact problem you are having but I do not have an aftermarket chip installed so I would not blame it on that. I took my truck to my dealer after it happened a couple of times and they could not track down the problem. It has not happened to me for about 7 mos now so I hope it is something that will not return. Hope this helps! -BL

The Speed Sensor on the differential was about $35.00 + 1 hour labor. It is a do it yourself job.

Had it scanned for codes today. Came up as P1783-transmission over temperature condition. Now to figure out why it overheats.

Hi King James,

Ahaaa, so one of your original suspicions, that it was possibly overheating, is what that code turned out to be telling you, very interesting!

Do let us know what you find out & good luck!
