Chip AND FIPK are IN!!!
WOW is all I can say! I put the Superchip on first and could definetly feel a difference in shift changes and power. The Air Force 1 topped the whole deal off with a NICE roar when you put it to the ground. Can't believe I didn't get them sooner but can say to anybody that's wondering, JUST DO IT!!! It's totally worth it. The Superchip and the FIPK both do wonders for your truck!!! Trust Me.

Hi Harleyboy,
We're delighted to hear that you're enjoying your modifications, the Superchip & Air Force 1 kit do indeed work very nicely, and make a very noticeably difference in the performance.
After the novelty of new performance part wears off a bit and your driving returns to a more normal pace (it's natural to drive it harder when checking out the results of new performance parts, of course), you may be able to see some small improvements in gas mileage as well. If you do happen to track that, we'd love to hear back from you.
Have fun & enjoy that beautiful Harley model!

Good move harley boy. I recently installed my superchip & fipk. And if you think the performance is good soon after istalling them wait until the chip goes through the full learning process.
As I drive day after day using 93octane I felt the truck get stronger and stronger like it is on steroids.
I personally used a tank of gas in 3 days after my mods. So watch out for superfoot.

Hi Fowl,
Good post, and that is something that has been commented on before here from time to time, the vehicle feeling stronger after installing the Superchip as you accumulate more miles on it.
Usually the way it works is that you get about 80% or so of what the Superchip is going to do right away, as long as the computer is properly cleared after installing the Superchip, and then the rest tends to come in gradually, as you accumulate the next oh, roughly 350-500 miles or so. Sometimes even more, up to 1000 miles or so, as the adaptive strategy adjustments are done, etc.
Sounds like you're having fun, & glad to hear it!

Congratulations Harley. The best of luck with your mods dude. As Mike and Fowl say, the best is yet to come. Let us know the progress of the performance.
Hey Mike, Remember the thread that was about the prem. gas and the superchip? I never heard anything about Sunoco gas. It was all about Texaco, Exxon, Mobil and BP. I love Sunoco Ultra. Sunoco gas period. Your opinion. Just save my money and use Texaco prem? Thanks.
Harley, Again good luck dude.

Hi Ram Air,
Excellent question, and Sunoco has plenty of great tradition along with that name. For many years, Sunoco 260 was *the* gas to use as far as "pump" premium went, and then they had the good purple stuff (up to 110 octane) in the barrels in the back of the station, years ago.
Sunoco Ultra 94 is generally the highest octane you can get in a pump premium. And if the energy content is good as well, then it can be an excellent gasoline to use for performance. I would simply say that as long as *you* are happy with the results you're getting, then continue to use it, sure!
Though we talk about a few specific brands as being "preferred" by us, that doesn't mean that there aren't other brands that can't do a fine job. We simply try to provide a bit of info on some of the lesser brands to steer clear of, and then the brands that we like best overall, but that is in no way any kind of "absolute" list. As long as *you* are happy with the results from any particular gasoline you're using, then by all means, continue to use it (don't fix it if it isn't broken).
Good luck!

Thanks Mike. I'm really digging this Superchip. But, got another question for ya. Someone said today to me that using prem. gas all the time isn't good. It burns up pistons, not good for the rings, leaves deposits, etc. That you should use reg. gas to clean things up. Now maybe I'm missing something here. Or I was born yesterday. Regular-87 Octane-------Premium 92 Octane. Exception Sunoco Ultra-93. If there all detergent gasolines. Why would the octane make a difference? Am I way off or was I born yesterday?
Also Mike, I'd like to send my chip back and get it redone for extra firm shifts. I wish I'd ordered it that way, so I wouldn't be with out it. Again, thanks Mike. Your answers are always right on.

HI Ram Air,
Not to worry, we have already recalibrated the fuel curves to compensate for the slower burn rate of the higher octane gasoline, so you don't have to worry about any of that garbage happening. The Superchip *completely* retunes the engine for premium gas, and it is indeed safe to use premium gas all the time with the Superchip; in fact, it's *required*.
So don't worry, you're fine.
For any program changes/updates, please just give us a call or shoot us an email, ok? Thanks & talk to you soon!
