I was wanting to know what the top speed is or would be for 2000 F-150 5.4 auto with a superchip install. I already have flowmaster exhaust K&N generation II and Poweraid TB spacer.

Hi DEJ,

Welcome to F-150 Online!

The top speed with the Superchip and your other 2 mods will depend on the exact configuration of your particular F-150, as there are substantial weight differences between 2WD, 4WD, long bed, short bed, short cab, extended cab, Super Crew models, having the Offroad Package, etc., even with the same engine.

The top speed limiter is set at anywhere from 98 to as high as 108 mph from the factory, and these 5.4 trucks can go anywhere from about 115 to as much as 135 mph with those modifications, depending on it's configuration (which determines it's weight) & gearing.

Keep in mind that your factory tires are not rated for driving at speeds in excess of 100 mph for extended periods, so if you intend to do sustained high-speed driving, you'll want to upgrade those tires perhaps.

120 mph, GPS on dash, had more pedal but shut down because of 109 tire rating.

 

Hey Xanman,

Ask Neal the HP Freak to tell you how to turn your digital odometer into a bunch of other gauges, one of which is a digital speedo that will read way over 100 mph, that's how Neal knows he's doing 138 mph.

As many times as it's been posted, I can't ever remember how to do it, Neal's the expert on that little trick.
