Got my Chip TODAY 4.2L Manual!!!
Installation was a success, took about 45min. Initial testing was hard to feel the difference, it was running real rich. But as I drove it I started feeling the new unlocked power. For the first time ever I was able to chirp the tires from my 2nd-3rd gear shift. Its hard to tell the power difference in 1st gear with my 4.30's but it is very noticable in 2nd. Pulls real hard. I'm going to take it to the track tomorrow and post my results. WHAT ARE THE CHANGES TO THE SPEED LIMITER AND REV LIMIT? I DON'T HAVE A TACH, IS THERE A FORMULA SO I CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT MPH I SHOULD HIT REDLINE?

Mods at the time where just a muffler change from stock to a Dynomax Magnum race muffler and a K&N in the stock box with 4.30 gears.
I have since added a custom off-road y-pipe without cats, opened up the stock airbox by elimiated the silencer and cover so the element is more open to the incoming air, plugs,wires, and of course the SUPERCHIP was added today.

You will have to wait for Mike for the factual information. I believe I read that the speed limiter is eliminated and the rev limiter goes from 5400 to 5700. This may have been for the 4.6, but I think thats the general idea.
Like I said before, I haven't made it to the strip yet. I feel the most difference above 3000 rpm. The highway has been the place where I've felt the difference the most. I am able to pass quickly and efficiently. I feel like I can pretty much pick my place on the highway. It's a good feeling. Well that's my two cents, so untill you hear from Mike... good luck.

It's probably in and out pretty quick with those 4.30's.
The top speed limiter is normally eliminated, and the rev limiter on your code is set to about 5400 rpm.

Great post, glad to hear you're enjoying it! With those 4.30 gears, you probably aren't in 1st gear long enough to feel much, I'll bet!
It's probably in and out pretty quick with those 4.30's.The top speed limiter is normally eliminated, and the rev limiter on your code is set to about 5400 rpm.
