Post Flip Chip cost

I have a '97 Expy with Airaid intake and Flowmaster Exhaust. I've got it looking good with the lightning front end and lightning wheels, but I would like to pick up a little more power. It seems that a superchip is my next mod, but I'm not finding any prices for flip chips for my 5.4 Expy. I really like the idea of a flip chip with the rising prices of gas. any help would be greatly appreciated. And anybodies experiences with flip chips would also be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Thunder,

That might be in part because the Webmaster of this web site has very strict policies against pricing issues being discussed on these message boards, to keep them free of what is considered blatant commercial content, and we respect and abide by those policies.

To find our what our products cost, we ask that you please either email us or give us a quick call, our contact informaition is just below for your convenience, with our thanks in advance for your understanding.

Even easier, you can also click on the link below that will take you to our F-150 Online Superchip Ordering System, and that will show you the price with our F-150 Online discounts. You'll see that it's listed for the Lightning, that's the same one for these regular F-150's Expeditions, etc.

If you'd like to go over any of this in more detail, or just would like to be able to ask someone about your vehicle and how to get it's performance where you want it, please feel free to give us a call, we're always happy to help if we can.

Briefly, the 2-program Superchip Flip Chip has a 2-position switch that is attached to a 2-3 foot long lead that exits the Superchip module, so you can mount the switch where you want. To change programs, simply slip the switch with the engine off.

We can easily set up the Flip Chip with a pair of programs, one for 87 octane and the other for 92+ octane, so you can have the flexibility you want, and maximum power on tap when you use premium.

The power gain on 87 octane will be small, perhaps 5 hp or so, but because of the removal of all the transitional delays & retards, etc., the vehicle will still be more responsive and accelerate a bit quicker, and then the real raw power gains will come when you use the premium gas program.

I'm sure you'll get responses from others using the Flip Chip here with that setup, and if we can help, just give us a shout!

Best of luck with your Expy,

Just find any post by Mike Troyer and click on the link in his signature for online ordering info. You can find the prices there. I have a regular Superchip, and I love it. Also you may want to read some of his other posts about the price differences between 87 and 93 octane. For the performance I get I see no reason to ever run 87 again. If for some reason I just couldn't get any I would simply uplug the chip and run the factory program until 93 was available again.

Thank for the responses. I had noticed that there was a flip chip listed for lightnings and now I now that will work for my Expy too. The only reason I would like a flip chip over just the single program is for the ability if I'm going to take a long trip and I don't want to have to pay that extra fro gas that could be spent on something else, but I also want that advantage of better shifting that comes with a superchip. So that leads me to the flip chip which I should be ordering as soon as I save a little money.
Thanks again for the help,
Brian

Sounds like Snyper feels pretty much the same way I do. Once you have it, you don't want to fall back, and we don't use Flip Chips on our vehicles here, but then, the blower isn't installed just yet, either. As soon as the blower goes on, so does the Flip Chip, set up with all-out performance on Side 2 and a milder mode on Side 1.

However, there are certainly those who feel differently, and for them, the Flip Chip makes an excellent choice, giving them the flexibility that they feel they need.

As long as everyone's happy.......
