Question empty tank?

i have a quick question? should i install my chip in my truck on an empty tank of gas? since it is said to run it on 93 octane does that mean i need to install it after i run my tank down??? another question how long will it take before i notice the differance???

take off neg battery cable--turn on headlights wait 5 mins to reset your computer turn off lights reconnect bat cable and go fill up with prem gas--and your all set. should notice the differents within a couple of hundred miles.
yes, i would fill it up with premium before i added the chip, but i don't think thats a major concern. don't think one tank of reg gas will matter that much.

tazz--i am a accountant and i can't poor water out of a boot the right way and i actually installed my super chip and even got it clean the first time, have to admit that it took me about 2 hours to do it cause i was super cautious about following instructions and i cleaned and cleaned and cleaned my chip over and over again. that goo is hard to get off completly--just follow the instructions and clean good. i think most people install in under an hour.
supposely the head lights drain all the energy out of any capacitors in the computer(just going by what ive read on here in past messages and the ventor of the chip says to do it.)
i notice the change right away in shifting and power on the first tank of gas.

Hi tazz,

What we suggest is after you've ordered the Superchip, continue to use up the 87 octane gas you have in the tank, and let it run as low as you dare (*without* running the risk of running out of gas). Usually most people just let it go down until the low fuel light comes on, then fill it up with high-quality premium gas, and then install your Superchip.

When the low fuel light comes on, you have somewhere between 3-6 gallons left in the system, so you can still do some driving, just be careful and don't let yourself run out!

Also, as long as you follow our instructions, you'll start feeling that Superchip very quickly. What we normally do after an installation is to take the vehicle out for a 20 mile drive, and do different types of driving, including at least 2 or 3 full-throttle bursts long enough to allow the 1-2 and the 2-3 upshift at full-throttle on the automatics, and a similar length of time at full-throttle for the manuals. I don't mean abuse the vehicle, just let it have it's run a bit, so to speak, and you'll feel what that Superchip is doing.

In terms of what to expect, your truck is going to feel like you picked up about 10%-12% more motor under the hood, is a good way to describe it. It's not going to feel like a shot of nitrous or a supercharger of course, but it's a nice 10%-12% power gainer, which is great for it's low cost.

If you have any questions about your installation when your Superchip arrives (or before), and after reading all of the included documentation, please just give us a call, and we'll be happy to help & answer any questions you may have, we're just a phone call away!

Good luck!

Hi tazz,

Just so you'll know what to expect, normal delivery time to Texas when shipped via UPS Ground is 3-4 working days.

If you would like your UPS tracking number, please just shoot us a quick email with your name so we can look you up, and we'll be happy to email back to your UPS tracking number for your shipment, which you can then track 24hrs. a day until it arrives!

92 will not mess up your motor. It is actually better. It also runs cleaner(less emissions).

NO NEED TO WAIT FOR EMPTY TANK. WHY NOT ADD AN OCTANE BOOSTER TO THE LOW OCTANE GAS IN YOUR TANK THEN YOU'RE ALL SET.
