Talking Thanks Mike and everyone else

This is great! Thanks to you guys' help regarding my speedometer recalibration fiasco. I went to a speedo specialty place that I had been to about 6 months ago. He had told me that it was not possible on my 98 truck. But I went back today with the printout of ya'lls (hey, I'm from Georgia!) comments and a Chilton's service manual. He gave me the same run around as before but after he looked at the stuff I had and checked one of his own books, he gave in and admitted he was wrong! Heh Heh He fixed it for $53 including part(s) and labor. Now it's supposedly only off 1mph. That is as close as he could get. What's strange is that it only took about 20 minutes to do. But hey, I'm happy. Thanks again ya'll.

You're very welcome, & thanks for letting us all know that you were able to get that resolved.

I'll bet that speedo shop guy felt like a dummy when you educated him! He might be fuming at himself about how many others he's turned down for that same type of work.

Good job getting him up to speed, as now he'll be able to help others out, too.
