Chip installation
Ok after some tense moments the chip is in and in working order! Thanks to all for their input/tips and tricks. I found using the screwdrive technique a bit ineffective, didn't help that my little flathead wasn't too flat. I ended up using just a straight edged razorblade. Made short work of the coating and didn't harm the Sn coating over the Cu contacts. Cleaned everything up with some contact cleaner (just the contacts) and slapped that baby in.....
First indications, since it is only a jetchip was that there was some noticable poop at wide open throttle. But will have to run a couple more tanks of 92 octane (that's all we got here in California) before I make any judgements. But after riding in CrazyaboutF150 4.6L with the superchip, I want one even more. Thanks again to Crazy for letting me tryout the Jetchip. I've taken some pictures and posted them my website (see address below) if anybody is interested. Plus added some nice picts of my truck.
