Can someone please tell me if anybody else makes a chip for an 87 300L6 besides superchip. Nothing against Superchip i just would like a basis for comparison.

Hi bigtan,

If memory serves, Hypertech makes a chip for some years of the F-150 with the 4.9 "Big 6".

If you'd like to go over the differences between the Hypertech & the Superchip, or just ask some general questions or what have you, etc., feel free to give us a call, we're always happy to help.

Good luck with your truck, those Big 6's are pretty durable, & can easily live 200,000+ miles with frequent oil changes & normal maint.
