Hey Mike T,
My truck didn't come with a rear sway bar. Yes, it does handle better in sharp curves after installing it. Knowing it's back there when towing my boat makes me fell a little better too. I chose the Helwig because of it's 1 1/8" diameter. It looks much stronger than the factory bar that was on my last truck. I did not change out the front sway bar. I am, however, looking to up grade these so called "heavy duty" shocks.
