You know, a couple years ago somebody told me that J.C. Whitney just closed their doors one day, and that another company bought their name and has continued the business. Now I have absolutely no idea if any of that is true or not, and I certainly don't mean to be spreading rumors or bad-mouthing J.C. Whitney in the least, I always loved the company and their catalogs.
Given your comment about a lot of changes in what they carry, perhaps it's due to a buy-out or just them getting into the 20th century perhaps, I just couldn't tell you.
