Hi ToDaBone,

We like JBA's headers, they seem to work very well. The JBA's pick up about 14 hp on the 4.6, and up to 17 hp on the 5.4 in the F-150. Thre are of course other brands, but JBA is probably one of, if not the, most popular brand. Borla may have them now, and Gibson also makes them I believe, and there are any number of others making headers for the F-150's as well. If it were me, I'd go with JBA's for the F-150 most likely.

Whatever headers you purchase, make sure they are Jet-Hot coated, and use locking header bolts if they are available. You may have to buy the locking header bolts separately most likely. This will keep more heat in the exhaust where it belongs and not released under the hood. The locking header bolts will keep you from having to go back and re-torque them over the first 90 days repeatedly due to loosening from thermal expansion & contraction.

We would suggest that you touch base with Roger Lemere, who runs F-150 Online's Online Store. He carries those items, and gives an excellent discount to all F-150 Online participants. You can access the store just by clicking on the link on the left side of your screen here that says "Online Store", or, you can call Roger directly at 916-361-2510. I think you'll find him a very good person to work with in all aspects.

Best of luck whatever you decide,
