I have a '01 truck coming in soon and was wondering what people thought of the Superchip in the above configuration. It sure semed nice in the SC trucks

I have a '00 regular cab, shortbed, 5.4 liter with a Superchip. Works great. Really improves the shifting alot. you won't be disappointed. Mine is the Flip Chip. It has two different programs on it. One for regular unleaded gas and the other for premium. Both programs have the improved shifting. It costs more for the Flip Chip but I thought it was worth it to have the choice to run regular or premium. If you ever plan on racing a 4.2 liter with a manual trans and a Superchip, you don't want to do it unless you have a Superchip too. Bill Bateman has shown us in the past that a Superchipped 4.2 manual trans can beat a 5.4. LOL Just kidding Bill.

Just so you'll know, the 2001 F-trucks are responding pretty much the same across the board, in case that is what you are wondering about. They're still programming the powertrains the same way, so you'll get the same basic results from the Superchip in the 2001's.

HI!... LIGHTNING KID : I have a reg-cab, short-box, "99", F-150 SPORT with a SUPERCHIP. I knocked off 6.1 tenths in the 1/4 mile with the superchip! I am currently running 14.72 E.T in the 1/4 mile, at 93 MPH. That is on the stock 30 inch tall tires!!!

I really like the idea of regular/premium fuel flip chip. Thanks for that idea 2000regcab54. (I just need to work on Mike T. to reprogram the chip I have now )

Yeah, Neal has his non-Lightning F-150 really charging, doesn't he? He's well into the 14's now, with more to come, so he's an inspiration to all non-Lightning F-150 owners!

I hate to see what his performance is going to be like when he finally bolts on the supercharger.
