Post Paging Neal the HP Freak :)

Hey Neal,

We heard you weren't able to make Milan due to some exhaust problems? I know you had to be disappointed, I know how long you were looking forward to going and getting some new times.

So tell us, what happened? Or just give me a call, like usual.

Do you think you'll be able to get back to the track before winter sets in for you up there?

Good luck, whatever it is!

Cool

HI!... Well MIKE, as usual my bad luck has struck again!LOL! I got up at 9:00A.M (That's REALLY early for me) and vacuumed out my whole truck, armor alled it, cleaned all the windows, power washed it, took an extra 100lbs out of it!LOL! and got my track tires in the bed. Then I went to pull out of the driveway to go meet JMC and WOOSH! The truck suddenely got REALLY loud! I pulled back into the driveway and looked underneath. The drivers side MANDREL bent 90 degree bend I installed when I did my true duel exhaust set-up had a crack in it. It cracked right where I had a muffler shop expand it to fit over 2.5 inch diameter tubing. The crack started right at the top, where the steel was the thinest and worked it's way down. I grabbed it and pulled on it, it fell on the ground! By the time I got parts to fix it and drove all the way out to my chassis builder to have it tig welded, it was 3;30P.M and too late to go to MILAN DRAGWAY. Let's just say that I was PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!

MIKE : I will be going BACK up to MILAN DRAGWAY on OCTOBER 14TH. JMC, IZZYEDDY, a freind of his, and a buddy of mine KEN will be all going. Of coarse anyone else that wants to go can certainly attend with us. By the way MIKE, I managed to get a 14.90e.t at 95.6 MPH with my G-TECH PRO last weekend in 42 degree weather. The truck hooked really well, only spun for about 5-10 feet at the most. I also got a 6.4 second 0-60MPH time. Mike: I got this time with my STOCK 30 inch tall tires. I can't wait till I can run my 27 inch tall tires at the dragstrip where the traction will be a ton better than on the street. HEY, mabey I might even be able to get a 14.70 out of this thing!LOL! Keep your fingeres crossed for me, MIKE!

HI Neal,

Yes, knowing you as well as I do by now, and knowing how long you've been waiting to get back to the track and get into the 14's, I can imagine just how angry you were, and I'm glad I wasn't anywhere around!

Heck, I've been waiting to see this thing back at the track for as long as you have, ever since "Cableguy" ran his 14.9.

So yes indeed, I'll have several things crossed for you on your return visit to the strip.

Good luck Neal!

Um, I'm not sure we should know what those 'several things' are, so lets just hope that its a good thing or 'things' as the case may be.

btw, how long would it take to customize my chip for the smaller tires?

Hi ATST!!

Hope you did well at the track!

We probably should talk a bit to see just what's going on right now with those shorter tires, to determine what exactly needs to be done, so I can give you a rough idea of time frame.

Give us a shout by phone or email when you get a chance, phone would probably be better so we can go over this and I can ask you some specific questions, etc.

By the way, I just wanted to take a moment to publicly thank you once again for all you did to help with the July Rally, and especually getting all the info out later, photos, the "diary", etc., thank you very much! I'll finally have the door cracks article finished shortly for posting, we're almost finished recovering from that computer dying & getting the new systems & upgrades all done, phew!
