Question reinstall of chip

Hey, I reinstalled my chip now that gas prices have gone down. I disconnected that bat. and everything, but is there anyway that it couldn't be working, even though it is installed? Is there anyway to tell if it is working for sure? It doesn't seem to rev as high and shift as hard as I remember. It used to go above 5000 rpms and now it doesn't go any higher than with the stock programing. I haven't changed anything, except I installed 2 lift kits. Let me know! Thanks.

I had this prob with mine. Turned out the sc wasn't seating in the PCM's connector. It was held out a little by the lip on the bracket that holds the PCM. I took off the clip & duct taped the PCM crooked in the bracket so the lip didn't touch the chip.
