Mike, Power band?
Mike,
I just installed my chip in my 95 inline 6. Thanks for all your support . It’s nice these days to find someone that is acutely enthusiastic and shows a genuine interest in the product they sell. I hope you may have some further information I’m looking for. I’m trying to find out at what rpm my engine has the most torque. The ( rpm power band ). I believe it’s around 2,700rpms for this engine. Do you have any stats. on the 300cb.in. inline 6? Thanks Robert

Hi Robert,
Sorry to say I don't know off the top of my head what the torque peak rpm figure is, but it's lower than on any of the V-8's, as that engine is configured to make torque in the low-to-mid-range. You may be right on the money at 2700 rpm, or it could be even a bit lower, around 2500 rpm. They're generally all through by 4500 rpm or so, due to the camshaft profile being designed fort that low-end torque. The Big 6 was/is a popular towing engine because it makes a lot of torque down low, and with frequent oil changes that motor can have a service life of 250,000 miles.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help,
