Too bad us San Diego folks can't get cheap gas. It's unbeleiable how high it gets here as opposed to the rest of the country...or even just LA.

Try Priceline.com, there should be plenty of participating stations in your area, and while I'm sure you'll be paying more than we are in GA, Priceline claims they can save you up to 20 cent a gallon off the price at the pump! And, being as you actually pre-pay for the gas, the price is guarranteed even if the price at the pump increases! You're safe if it drops as well, because you will never pay more than the price at the pump either! If the price drops below the price you paid, Priceline will credit the difference to your credit card. In my eyes, you really can't loose!

I just got gas for 18 cents cheaper than the pump price. That's my best savings yet usually it's around 14-16 cents per gallon. It'll all add up to some excellent savings.

I belong to carclub.com where you save 10% on gas at any station that excepts Mastercard,I buy all my gas at citgo because of M.T's recommondations.right now its $1.69 a gallon I'm paying only a $1.53 for super.Visit that site you cab save on auto insurance and all sorts of auto stuff including 2 free diagnostic calls to a certified mechanic.

I recently got the perfect accessory to compliment the benefits of my SuperChip, and save me even more money at the gas pump!
I recently received my Priceline.com Gas Card in the mail, activated it on-line and immediately saved 10 cent a gallon on gas! I just pre-paid for my second 50 gallons of gas, and saved 14 cent a gallon! I'm now paying less for 93 octane than the price of Plus at the pump!

I tried priceline, but there are no stations near me that participate. However, I got some Texaco super tonight for 1.45. It may have been a mistake because all the other stations in the area are like 1.65, but I'll take it

All kidding aside, I tried the priceline thing and wasn't as sucessful as everyone else. I knew I could buy gas for 1.39 locally and put in for 1.29 a discount of ten cents and I didn't get it. I'll have to try again and see if it works. Even if I do get a ten cent discount isn't the max 50 gallons a month? A savings of $5. Then after a few months you have to pay $3 a month for the gas card. So the total savings would be $2 which I hardly think is worth the hassle of messing with it on the computer. Just my $.02

You can purchase up to 50 gallons every 14 days, and if you're married, your wife can have her own card. We have two cards in our family, so I can purchase up to 200 gallons a month through Priceline, which is plenty for the two of us (but she gets much better gas mileage than I do!). There is a $3.00 processing fee per card, but we've been averaging between 10 and 14 cent a gallon savings, so we still come out ahead. Also remember, the more stations you list to choose from, the better chance you have of getting your price! We have been lucky there as well, because the station we regularly use was listed, and consistantly gives us the lowest price! Another tip: Start low and increase your bid a penny at a time! The last 50 gallons I got at $1.29 the low bid was $1.28, and the next was $1.33. I use the "name my own price" option and always start lower then their lowest listed price! Good luck!

Just a response concerning priceline.com. I was skeptical of using priceline at first, but after getting the deal I got tonight I may have to eat any bad words I have said. I picked up a price of $1.43/gallon (normally $1.71) for premium gas, actually a penny cheaper than regular unleaded. Too bad we can only buy 100 gallons a month!

I just bought 50 gals of regular at $1.17. Pump said $1.44, the girl looked at the card and asked where I got it. She said she hadn't seen any before. I told her what I paid for the gas and she kinda looked dumbfounded. You gotta remember, it's only free for 3 months, then they charge ya 3 bucks a month. So make sure you *are* saving some cash
