Post 1/4 mile E.T.

Does anyone know the approx. 1/4 mile time for a stock 99 F-150 with a 5.4L and 3.55 LS? Also it is the supercab

HI Mikey,

If it's a 2WD Super Cab, then it can be anywhere from the mid to high-16's all the way up to the 17's. If it's a 4WD, then add about a half second to that at least. This will also vary depending on the weather (hotter=slower), how you stage, etc.

Raoul's 5.4 short-cab (not a Super Cab like yours) 2WD 5.4 ran 16.1 at VMS this weekend at the F-150 Online National Rally, box-stock.

I hope that helps a little bit,

Hey mikey88, get that truck to the track!
I would really be interested in seeing what kind of times those mods you have get.

While we are on the subject. Whats the difference in times between the 97-98 5.4s and the 99- 5.4s? Anyone have an approximate 0-60 time and 1/4 mile time for my truck.

I'm not sure the 1/4 time difference but I know the 99 has 260 hp which is 20 more than the 97 and 98 I believe. It also has a little more torque, but I'm not sure how much

The 1997 & 1998 F-150 5.4 was rated at 235 hp stock. In 1999, the new "Power Improved" 5.4 was rated at 260 hp.

The performance difference between the 2 can vary quite a bit based on the weight of the vehicle, which of course depends on the exact configuration of that vehicle. 2WD, 4WD, short cab, long bed, 139" wheelbase, which rear gear ratio, etc., there are many variables here so it's next to impossible to give one set answer to that question.

As a *very* loose guideline, figure the 235 hp versions are going to be around 3-4 tenths of a second slower in 0-60 & 1/4 mile times, all else being equal.

I hope that helps,
