Post Superchip-PA (might as well be CA) Emissions Test results------------------------>

Only cars in certain areas of PA contribute to smog. This is the newest test in the urban areas.

1999 No chip - 9000 miles
idle CO% (1.00 limit) .02 PASS
2500RPM CO% (1.00 limit) .02 PASS
idle HCppm (180 limit) 14 PASS
2500RPM HCppm (180 limit) 13 PASS
RPM VALID
Dilution VALID
Visual/Functional PASS

2000 Superchip - 18000 miles
idle CO% (1.00 limit) .04 PASS
2500RPM CO% (1.00 limit) .05 PASS
idle HCppm (180 limit) 29 PASS
2500RPM HCppm (180 limit) 27 PASS
RPM VALID
Dilution VALID
Visual/Functional PASS

Other:
EGR system PASS
PVC system PASS
Fuel inlet restrictor PASS
Catalytic converter PASS
Evaporative Control Sysytem PASS

Quite a test, eh? Tests like it is advertised.

Hi Spaceace,

Great post!

I think it would be very interesting to see a back-to-back comparison on that same test, with & without the Superchip, on premium gas. Your first test was at 9000 miles, and the second with 18,000 miles, and just about every vehicle I've seen will emit more as miles accumulate, especially early in it's life, that's fairly typical.

I say that simply because what we normally see is the emissions generally drop just a tiny bit with the Superchip in these vehicles most of the time.

All in all, it looks like that truck is running very clean, and well below the standards, excellent!

This is a question that comes up often, meaning, people ask us what we see in emissions output in stock vehicles, and most new vehicles are significantly below that model year's standards, which is always nice.

Thanks for your data,
