Chris,
thanks, the only reason I asked the question, is because I can get 87 octane for almost nothing (got a gas connection???).

Hi Rask123,

I think you called us today, as I remember speaking with someone today who was getting their 87 octane gas for nothing, that must have been you, you lucky devil!

Using octane boosters to raise regular up to premium does not work well at all. The octane booster shortens the lifespan of your spark plugs, O2 sensors, and just about anything else they come in contact with. We don't like them for anything other than an absolute emergency situation, as their formulations are not correct for fuel-injected computer controlled engines.

Given your rather unique situation, you might want to think about going with the 2-program Superchip Flip Chip, as we discussed today. that way you can run on either grade of fuel and have improvemetns all the time from the Superhcip, and then maximum power when you want to use premium.

I tried the jet chip and then the superchip. The superchip works alot better than the jet as far as feeling the power difference. I have no other experience, but I really like the superchip. Good luck

Mikey,
Thanks for the input, I will make a note of it SuperChip 1 -- Jet 0

Also to anyone who reads this it looks like you should run 92 to 93 OCT. gas if you have a chip. My question is if I run 87 OCT. gas with octane boost will this work.

RASK,

Running octane boost and 87 with the Superchips chip has already been discussed as well. NOT a good thing to do. Read back some older posts in the section or search on octane boost to get more information. The difference in total cost has also been discussed greatly regarding the difference between stock with 87 octane vs. superchip with 93 and better mileage the chip gives.
