Hi JDm,
We took a rare day off yesterday, sorry for not getting back to you on Sunday. We're usually here 7 days a week, but yesterday was just too beautiful, and with no Winston Cup race to watch on the boob tube, we just got "out of dodge" for awhile yesterday!
The Superchip will work just fine with many of the more popular exterior bolt-ons, so things like K&N air filters, airbox elimination kits & cat-back exhausts will all work just fine with the Superchip, and not require any custom programming.
As a loose and rough general rule, it's usually only major engine modifications that require true custom programming, so things like superchargers, nitrous oxide, ported cylinder heads, camshaft changes etc., are generally the types of things that require us to do custom programming. Sometimes we'll also need to do this for aftermarket mass airflow meters (MAF), it just depends on how good a job the manufacturer did of matching it to your stock injector size.
Another point you'll want to know is that even if you do make major mods after installing a Superchip, you can always have your Superchip updated with a custom program, so your investment in the Superchip is protected.
Nice graphics, by the way! Now that we have DirecPC installed here and get 400 kbps throughput instead of only a 56K dialup connection, we can actually enjoy those big graphics instead of waiting in agony for them to download.
I still want DSL though.
Best of luck with your truck, and don't hesitate to call us if you'd like to go over all of this in greater detail.
