Superchip and exhaust
I am installing a Gibson cat back exhaust Monday and was just wondering if I should reset my computer?

Hi Sir James,
It's not necessary, but it's a "tuner's trick" to do a battery disconnect anytime you make a change, such as adding a go-fast part. What this does is simply clear the accumulated memory in the computer, so the computer once again re-starts it's ongoing adjustments to it's fuel curves for the manner in which the vehicle is being operated, with the new part(s) installed. It's a technique to give better short-term results from certain changes, isone way to look at it.
This is optional in the case of installing a cat-back system, and is up to you. It won't make a bit of difference in how that vehicle runs 30-60 days from now, but it might give you a little bit better immediate result, that's all.
