Talking *FREE* premium gas. No cost to run Superchip!

Ok, I must say I was skeptical at first. Priceline.com now does gasoline. I just got $1.69 premium for $1.58 (50 gallons). Name brand gas!

If you know the local prices...this is for you. NEVER use the suggested prices. I always name my own price, which is usually around the low chance price.

Regardless. 11 cents x 50 gallons makes the Superchip virtually free to operate...NOW....

Flames start here------>

FYI...I use Priceline for most things. It is a service for only the the most knowledgeable purchaser. Know your product- know your price. Otherwise, it will not be profitable for YOU.

Hi Spaceace,

Very interesting, you can buy gasoline thru priceline.com?!? Does William Shatner pump the gas for us? (OK, sorry, I just had to throw that in, forgive me!)

Do you have to buy it in quantity? Do you go to your local gasoline retailer? Do they send you coupons, or just how does that work?

We're seeing gas prices go back down again ove the past few weeks, it's dropped 15 cents a gallon around here. How our premium is $1.52, and the regular is $1.42 per gallon.

Good luck Spaceace,

Mike,

Prices have NOT gone down here, even at the gas war stations. $1.77 avg premium

You buy in 10 gallon lots, Fill up as needed, balance carries for 90 days. All local stations. Pay with a Priceline debit card with was pre charged to your "other" credit card. The price you see on the pump does not matter. I have bought selected groceries and saved big.

Priceline has a very good FAQ on thier site.

Thumbs up

Spaceace,
Great News, I have been wanting to check that out for a while now, but it seemed they were having trouble getting the gas thing going.

What did you mean about the balance carying for 90 days. I was thinking about trying to buy 100 gals at a lower price - I assume the more you buy the better the deal? It would suck if you lost the extra after 90 days. Any info is appreciated.

Angry

I went to the priceline.com site to check things out and it said it's not available in Wisconsin. BOOOOO!!!!!!! Our gas prices were as high as $2.25 a gallon in Milwaukee a month ago and there's nothing anyone can do about it since all the gas stations are required by law to keep their prices the same within a few cents. The priceline idea sounds great. It sounds like a great way to introduce a little free enterprise / competition to the market!

Andy,
Sorry to hear about the law you have - no competition at all. Montana used to have a law like that. After it was voted out gas dropped by 40 cents. This is a couple of years ago. I guess it is a reason to vote.
Good Luck.
