Thumbs up THANKS MIKE and TROYER!!

I wanted to take just a second to personally thank you for the extra effort in my purchase.

Bought a 9100 from Troyer, perfect tune but shift was to firm with my shift kit in the tow mode. Mike reprogrammed the thing and sent me the tunes via email, MORE THAN ONCE! It didn't work do to some spam blocker and what not. Caused a mis-match on the program. Also caused a CEL and very rough running, so I sent it in. Were talking 8+ weeks (give or take) after purchase.

Got it back yesterday and removed the 1715 tuning and put the 9100 back on!!!! Had a problem and I called as he directs in all responses.

SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! PERIOD.

They (Anita) waited on the phone as I installed the tuning to make sure we didn't have a problem.

THE TRUCK IS BACK to great

MIKE and ANITA TROYER, you make this board and doing business with you enjoyable. I HAVE NEVER experienced this level of customer service from a company EVER! You have done anything and everything to ensure that my purchase was satisfactory in every possible way.

THANK YOU!
A customer for life, Randy Watson

ps: send me a decal "TROYER PERFORMANCE" to show my support and charge me for the shipping!

Hi Randy,

As usual, you're too kind.

We just felt bad due to the additional "hassle" for you because that the email spam blocker or whatever it was kept you from getting the files we send via email - which required you to shoot the Micro Tuner back to us for a quick reflash & return.

I checked with Anita a day or so ago to see if everything was OK with you, & she did mention staying on the phone with you while you uploaded the new tuning to make sure everything was OK - she's great (as are Crystal, Rhonda & everyone else here), but then of course I have to say that - I'm married to her!

Seriously, glad to hear everything is OK. We've also greatly appreciated the feedback from you on that 5.0 V8 F-150 with regard to the difference in performance, etc., between the #1715 Superchips Micro Tuner versus our custom tuning that we load into the 9100 custom version Micro Tuner. We've got plenty of that kind of data with the 1997 & newer trucks, but not as much on those 1996 5.0 V8 F-150's - which is the only model year of 5.0 V8 F-150 that is OBD-II, and can thus use a Micro Tuner.

Have fun,

ya know, I have to chime in on this. I know this thread is kinda old, but Mike and Anita and the rest of TroyerPerformance deserve it.

I recently ordered a 9100 and Mike called me (off of their business hours, I'm guessing on his day off) and wanted to make sure that I had the programming that I wanted. I live in a city that has a 6700 elevation and Mike wanted to make sure that the tuning was right. I had a problem that "I" had caused with my truck and he told me how to fix it and why...(really knows his stuff). He didn't have to do that, because after all he was just doing my programming.

I'm a salesman myself and I try to treat my customers this way, it really is inspiring to deal with such a classie person and company.

Thank you! And I'm with Randy, send me a Troyer Performance sticker and charge me for the shipping...if you don't have any, let me know I have a buddy who makes them.

I"ve been reading some on this tuner from troy and was wondering if the 9100 is a additional part to keep the tuner for the 2004 5.4 3v updated . also read some have had trouble with this programmer and their trucks. Is this a date of build or a inside program glitch.MUST GO FASTER

no, the 9100 is a hand held microtuner just like the 1715 max tuner. difference is 9100 contains custom tunes from mike. the 1715 are generic tunes for the same trucks. 9100 is code specific for your computor code, 1715 works with any gas v8 1996-2003. the 9100 has the ability to be updated thru a computor if you purchase the software and cable, the 1715 can't do this.

a couple of "early" software problems were reported but "new" version releases have corrected this.

Hope this answers your question.

Randy
